Butt and Pass
For customers seeking an old-fashioned appearance, the butt and pass corner system features a log butting up against the log that is passing it. Each butt and pass joint is screwed, caulked, and doweled with a 1″ hardwood dowel and an OlyLog lag screw to promote a strong, airtight fit.
The butt and pass corner system is offered with our D-log profile
Dovetail
The dovetail is a completely interlocking and self-supporting corner system perfected by early frontier men. Representing a superior level of craftsmanship and detail, the dovetail corner system adds unique precision and workmanship to the appearance of your log home.
The dovetail corner system is offered with D-logs and square log profiles.
Posted Corner
With a posted corner system, all wall logs are carefully cut, butted, and spliced against a vertical corner post. The post is then butted on the outside by short sections of spliced logs to promote a more traditional look. Posted corner systems deliver a rustic, classic aesthetic with our newest log profile.
The posted corner system is offered with any of our log profiles.
Saddle Notch
The saddle notch corner system is a precision-milled joint that results in a symmetrical and completely self-supporting corner. The ends of each log is precisely notched to saddle the log underneath it, fitting snugly and resulting in an added look of authenticity in any log cabin or home.
The saddle notch corner system is offered with round log, D-log, and double D-log profiles.
